It stars Tom Hardy and Joel Edgerton as two estranged brothers whose entrance into a mixed martial arts tournament makes them come to with their lives and each other, and Nick Nolte as their alcoholic father; Jennifer Morrison and Frank Grillo also star.
The film was theatrically released in the United States on September 9, 2011, by Lionsgate. Although it grossed just $23 million against its $25 million production budget, the film received positive reviews from critics, and Nolte was nominated for an Oscar for Best ing Actor.
