Sheena is a 1984 fantasy adventure film directed by John Guillermin and based on the comic book character of the same name. The movie stars Tanya Roberts as Sheena, an orphan raised by a mystical tribe in the African jungle who develops the ability to communicate with animals and manipulate her environment. After a power-hungry prince orchestrates a coup to usurp a small African kingdom, Sheena must use her extraordinary skills to protect her home and restore justice. The movie was beautifully photographed on location in Kenya. It was up for many Razzies, but it’s still a fun cult movie.
